More IP Specialists in the North

Two of the guests at Carin Burchell's reception last night were Aisla Pemberton and Kate Reid. They have joined together to set up Pemberton Reid, one of the first if not the first, specialist intellectual property law firms in the North of England. They practise at York where there is already quite a cluster of technology and intellectual property law expertise.

Like Carin and indeed like NIPC, they do a lot to raise IP awareness locally. One of their initiatives is a "free advice day" on 15 Sep 2005. The Lord Mayor announced similar free clinics by Carin yesterday.

I understand that Aisla and Kate are just coming up for their first anniversary. Chambers wish them the best of luck.
