Invent Now

Anyone looking for an alternative to the excruciatingly tedious speculation as to conversations between our prime minister and his wife over the breakfast table now running on Panorama will find a treat on the Invent Now. The graphics and animations are fantastic.

Invent Now describes itself as "a non-profit organization that brings to the world a wide range of programs, places, content and other experiences." Everything it offers celebrates and fosters the spirit and practice of invention. It is sponsored by the US Patent and Trademark (sic) Office .

There is a mass of material on the site with "Camp Invention" for children, the Collegiate Inventors Competition for young people and The National Inventors Hall of Fame museum for everyone. There are useful tips on patenting and lots of links to other inventors' sites. I would love to see something like that here.
